Hotel Galanta – International Standards of Duty of Care in the Hotel Industry

The international hotel industry has developed international standards of cleanliness and hygiene during this difficult time to ensure all guests feel safe and comfortable once they resume travel in the future.

Along with local hygiene standards set by each international government, we would like to let all of our customers and guests know that during the time we were closed we have implemented strict new policies of social distancing, disinfection and hygienic standards for all of our staff and customers.

The safety of our employees and guests is of the utmost importance to us and we have implemented standards to ensure everyone’s safety during this difficult time. 

Common Area Hygiene

  • All guests are advised to use hand disinfectant in all areas
  • All staff are required to wear gloves and facemasks at all times
  • Putting plexiglass in place in reception to maintain social distancing
  • Disinfecting all door handles, buttons, tables and other surfaces
  • Maintaining a safe two-meter social distance in all common areas
  • Regularly disinfect all menus
  • Avoid shaking hands

Room Hygiene

  • Completely disinfect all surfaces in bathrooms
  • Disinfecting all rooms and surfaces in rooms, desks, tables, handles, including remote controls
  • Wash and clean all linens after each guest using special detergent
  • Vacuum all carpets
  • Limiting the number of items in the room that have surfaces that can be touched
  • Minibar will be an order on demand to minimize contact
  • Expanding room service for our guests, including “no contact” orders brought to the room and picked up from the room
  • Breakfast will be either room service, on the terrace in the future or on a take away basis

Staff Hygiene

  • Temperature taken everyday before starting their shift
  • Wearing gloves and masks at all times
  • Regularly washing hands
  • Maintaining safe social distancing of at least 2 meters at all times

All disinfectant solutions will have at least a 70 % alcohol mix to ensure maximum cleanliness.

We feel it is important to put in the additional time and effort in these new standards to ensure the safety of our staff and our guests.

We have implemented all standards of safety, hygiene and social distancing to ensure that your stay is secure while also making sure that you continue to enjoy all of the comforts you deserve.
